QBE 90 Fitting steps
Qbe consists of 2 components: a base and an insert which covers the fixing screws.
For the 90 mm size a supporting pre-drilled Stainless Steel bar (available in Aluminum too) may be oered as an option to reinforce the installation.
Unwinding of the rolls is a critical step, this operation may be carried out without heating up, though pre-heating makes really easier the mounting phase. Lay the profile on the ground around the boat or on the boat itself, the more the profile will be lied down correctly, the easier it is its installation.
For installations on aluminum boats, we suggest the use of aluminum accessories.
On boats with a Sandwich junction the base can be mounted by positioning the recess either above or below according to need.
Drill the base with screws to fix it to the boat. The supporting Stainless Steel bar (optional for the 90 mm size) is supplied pre-drilled to facilitate the entry of the screws.
Installation of the insert by pressing with a rubber hammer.
Cut the profile and fix the extremities with a screw. Complete with end caps: they must partially overcome the end of the profile (they must not be fixed on its side).
